EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS
The Educational Farm is the place where one can learn respect for nature and animals, including those with which we are not accustomed to daily contact, such as dogs and cats. It's a place to discover the differences between seemingly similar animals, such as sheep and goats, and to understand how the foods that end up on our tables every day are produced, which can be tasted in the on-site restaurant at the end of the visit.
The dialogue between operators and visitors ensures an optimal experience, particularly providing an ideal connection for educational programming, especially for schools, given the high educational value associated with knowledge of rural areas, agriculture, and its products. Immersed in nature, families and school groups are led through an engaging educational journey to understand the relationships between agricultural production, food consumption, historical-cultural heritage, and the environment.
During the visit to the farms and crops, you will meet our farmers in the places where productive activities take place and you can compare old and new working methods. The Educational Farm offers interesting experiences aimed at understanding the biological cycles of animals and plants, as well as the processes of production, transformation, and preservation of products. You will have the opportunity to witness the milk processing, the shearing of sheep during spring, observe how olives become oil in our mill, which operates from late October, and closely observe the constant activity of bees entering and exiting the hives.
