ITINERARY IN THE LAND OF FAIRY TALES
Sant'Agata gains new vitality from the street art pieces scattered through the alleys of the historic center. The most extraordinary works are dedicated to two illustrious figures of Sant'Agata, the writer Saverio Strati and the painter Domenico Bonfà, also known as Fàbon, both born in the small village in Locride.
The artist behind these works is the Sicilian street artist Andrea Sposari, known by the artistic name Spos.art. "Cavalieri dell'Apocalisse" is the tribute to the artist Fàbon, while "Tibi e Tascia" is the mural dedicated to the characters of Saverio Strati's famous novel.
The writer and painter were highly appreciated in the 20th century, but their memory has been neglected over time, as little has been done to promote awareness among new generations. These artworks bring the two artists back to life in this village, allowing them to live again in the places where they spent their youth.
