The Art Gallery houses works from donations or acquisitions. The permanent collection is divided into various sections representing the geographical origin of the artworks. It was founded in 1987. The permanent collection (paintings, sculptures, prints, and photographs) is divided into several sections representing the geographical origin of the works: Library, Collections, Young Authors, Contemporary Senses Exhibition in Calabria, Art from Australia, the Great Disk, Art from Argentina, Art from Italy and Europe, Utopia. The building is a modern structure specifically designed for the museum, consisting of 3 above-ground floors. On the ground floor, there is the exhibition hall, the bookshop, and a storage area. On the first floor, there are the gallery, conference room, library, and offices. On the second floor, there is an apartment/studio for resident artists. All totaling 400 square meters. In 2006, there was an internal restoration of the building. There is a permanent exhibition hall on the ground floor covering about 200 square meters. On the first and second floors, there are two additional rooms dedicated to temporary exhibitions. The materials are well-displayed and illuminated by a central lighting system. Another room is illuminated by wall lighting. The artworks are accompanied by captions in Italian.
